On 27th of March 2017 the Main Council of the Research Institutes organized a conference on Civil Research Institutes Supporting Poland’s Security. Honorary Patronage over the conference was taken by the -head of the National Security Bureau, Minister Paweł Soloch.
The conference brought together numerous representatives of civil and military research institutes. The event was also attended by representatives of military services, fire brigades, border guards and other uniformed services.
The main purpose of the event was to present the results of research and development works carried out by the civil research institutes, which are applicable to national security threats and public security.
The presentations were conducted in four thematic sessions:
- Materials and technologies
- Vehicles and equipment
- Electronic and IT technologies
- Human and environmental protection
During the 3rd session, devoted to electronic and information technologies, the EMAG Institute presented seismic systems for assessing the precision of bombing and increasing safety at aerial training grounds. The speech was delivered by Artur Kozłowski, EMAG’s vice director.
The event was accompanied by an exhibition of equipment, inventions and innovative achievements of selected research institutes related to the subject of broadly understood security.
The event also aimed to initiate inter-ministerial cooperation and integration of military communities with civil laboratories and to point the need to carry out large interdisciplinary safety projects.
