EMAG actively participated in the 7th National Security Conference held between 4th and 6th of October 2017 in Bielsko-Biała.
The conference was addressed to representatives of the institutions whose mission is to protect critical infrastructures that are subject to mandatory protection, particularly important for the national security and citizens, of significant economic and defensive importance, as well as the representatives of the government and local administration responsible for crisis management, level of security, public order and civil defence.
An expert debate "Where are you going Europe and Poland? Current Challenges and Threats " had the following participants: Janusz Steinhoff (former Deputy Prime Minister, President of the Polish Chamber of Commerce), Andrzej Byrt, (former Ambassador to Germany and France); Mieczyslaw Bieniek (former deputy of NATO strategic commander), Tadeusz Donocik (President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry RIG in Katowice), Stanisław Trenczek (Director of the Institute of Innovative Technologies EMAG), and Bogdan Kosowski (professor of Jagiellonian University in Cracow). During the debate, EMAG’s director presented topics related to the security of an organization, including cyber security. He referred to management systems commonly applied by western European businesses and based on BS 25999 / ISO 22301 business continuity and information security standards. He also discussed benefits for manufacturing processes and business security resulting from the use of an integrated, computer-aided management and information security system – OSCAD, developed by EMAG.
